Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.

What You Trade On

Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That will round things out once it is live.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The speed is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
